FRA presents upcoming violence against women survey to European Parliament

On 23 April the FRA informed members of the European Parliament's Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality about the scope, the aims and the timeline of the on-going EU-wide Violence against Women survey.

The FRA was joined by the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) in the discussions. MEPs highlighted the need for robust and comparable evidence across the EU to inform and reinforce policy developments on gender-based violence both at the national and EU level. The FRA's survey will provide a comprehensive and comparable picture of women's experiences of violence across the 27 EU Member States and Croatia.
