A delegation from the German Parliament’s Petitions Committee - Gero Storjohann, Stefanie Vogelsang, Dr. Peter Röhlinger, Manfred Todtenhausen, and Sabine Ursula Stüber - visited the FRA at its premises in Vienna on 8 April 2013.

The aim of the visit was to provide the delegation with an overview of the FRA’s work and discuss those of its activities that could be relevant for the work of the Committee. During the meeting, FRA presented practical examples of its cooperation with EU Institutions and Member States, National Human Rights Institutes and Ombudspersons, and also gave an insight into its research activity.

The Committee acts as the German Ombudsperson Institution and receives more than 15,000 petitions annually.
