Keeping the EU’s external borders secure: latest developments

On 18 March, FRA presented preliminary findings from its research on the treatment of third-country nationals at the EU’s external sea and air border points at a seminar on “Keeping the EU’s External Borders Secure: Latest Developments”.

The presentation was delivered in coordination with the Frontex Fundamental Rights Officer. Subsequent discussions with ministries, law enforcement agencies, data protection officers and NGOs focused on the challenges arising in the context of Frontex operations as well as policy issues such as Eurosur. The seminar was organised by the European Law Academy.
