FRA issues Opinion on proposed EU data protection reform package (09 October)

Following a request by the European Parliament for an analysis of the fundamental rights issues associated with the proposed EU data protection reform package, FRA has presented its Opinion on the draft legislation. The Opinion builds on those already published by the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS), Article 29 Working Party, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), and the Committee of the Regions, and complements them from a broader fundamental rights perspective.

FRA and Committee of the Regions Annual Dialogue suggests how to enhance access to justice in times of crisis (25 September)

FRA and the Committee of the Regions (CoR) held their 4th Annual Dialogue on multi-level protection and promotion of fundamental rights on 24 September. It focused on “The economic crisis – Obstacle or incubator for innovation in access to justice?”.


FRA online survey on antisemitism closed (08 October)

The FRA online survey on experiences and perceptions of antisemitism has now been closed.


Towards eradicating domestic violence against women (25 September)

FRA took part in a European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) conference in Brussels on ‘Eradicating domestic violence against women on 21 September, International Day of Peace.
