Each year the Agency draws together from the EU Member States a unique collection of data on the phenomena and manifestations of racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia and anti-Semitism. In each Member State a National Focal Point within the Agency's RAXEN network provides analytical reports on a number of fields, and on top of this, the Agency commissions independent researchers to bring together the national findings in an overall EU synthesis.
In 2002 the four areas consisted of employment, education, legislation, and racist violence and crimes, with common themes and national differences in each area highlighted in four Comparative Reports.
The comparative reports are based on analytical reports] provided by the National Focal Points
