Standards and indicators on asylum applicants’ reception conditions

The EU Asylum Agency held the first meeting of the working group drafting standards and indicators on reception conditions in Malta from 25 to 27 March.

The drafting group is formed by representatives from the European Commission, representatives from Member States, the UN Refugee Agency and FRA. 

The aim is to develop standards and indicators to support Member States assess and improve the reception conditions of asylum applicants. They should also take into account the Reception Conditions Directive adopted in 2024 as part of the EU’s Pact on Migration and Asylum.
