On 5 December, during its fourth meeting, the EU High Level Group on combating racism, xenophobia and other forms of intolerance endorsed the key guiding principles on hate crime recording drawn up by the Subgroup on methodologies for recording and collecting data on hate crime facilitated by FRA.

On 1 December FRA participated in a workshop on equality data collection at the annual legal seminar of the European network of legal experts in gender equality and non-discrimination.
FRA participated as an observer in the final meeting of the second phase of the European Coast Guard Functions Academy Network project (ECGFA NET II) in Helsinki on 28-29 November, with the aim of contributing to the project with regard to fundamental rights.
As part of its increased engagement in Italy, FRA participated for the third time in a training course for volunteer guardians, held in Pescara in the region of Abruzzo on 1 December.

On 6 December 2017 the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) will host the conference 'Reality bites: Experiences of immigrants and minorities in the EU'. During the event, new findings from FRA’s second European Union Minorities and Discrimination Survey will be revealed.
Persisting widespread discrimination, intolerance and hatred across the EU threatens to marginalise and alienate many minority group members who otherwise feel largely attached to the country they live in and trust its institutions. These findings emerge from a major repeat survey by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA).
