It will also outline recent developments in the European data protection landscape, drawing on the recent case law from the European Court of Human Rights and the EU’s Court of Justice.
The focus of this year’s event is on the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation in a commercial context. Participants will investigate the protection afforded by the Council of Europe and EU legal systems. They will discuss challenges and best practices also in the context of new technologies and automated decision making.
The conference is being organised by the Academy of European Law (ERA). It will take place in Brussels, between 19 and 20 April.
