The event will focus on how the EU is addressing the most pressing challenges that children face today across all relevant policy areas, both in the EU and globally.
On 23 June, FRA will set up an information stand showcasing relevant publications for the 250 participants. These include children and young people, child rights experts and professionals from national and local authorities, ombudspersons for children and civil society organisations from across the EU, EFTA and candidate countries, as well as representatives from EU institutions and international organisations.
On 24 June, during a meeting of the EU Network for Children’s Rights, FRA will share key insights and promising practices from two relevant publications: Towards Integrated Child Protection Systems and Mapping Child Protection Systems in the EU. In a dedicated workshop co-hosted by the European Commission and FRA, Member States representatives will discuss practical measures and implementation strategies to strengthen child protection nationally and locally.
