Key facts of the case:
Repeal of the Section 97, subsections 3 and 4, of the Electronic Communication Act No. 127/2005 Coll. and Decree No. 485/2005 Coll. on the Extent of Traffic and Location Data, the Time of Retention and the Form and Method of the Transmission Thereof to Bodies Authorised to Use such Data implementing the Directive 2006/24/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council (data retention Directive). The proposal for this repeal was raised by a group of 51 Deputies of the Czech Republic.
