While attampting to provide a legal and sociological assessment of the three levels of integration of third country nationals as defined by the researchers: ideal, vision and practice, this report finds that third country nationals legally present in Romania are mosly well integrated. The research finds a grey area of the authorities response towards illegal migration, lacking monitorization or public scrutiny. The report finds that there is a tendency of increased tolerance in time.
