Key findings

81 % of the respondents had experienced discrimination because of their ethnic origin. 80 % of those who had experienced discrimination answered to the question concerning the nature of the discrimination and around 93 % of them had experienced verbal attacks and bullying and 29 % assault and shoving.

Methodology (Qualitative/Quantitative and exact type used, questionnaires etc)

The Finnish Somali League collected data on discrimination of Finnish Somalis (persons with Somali background) via electronic questionnaire on their website between 14 November 2015 and 31 March 2016. The purpose of the report is to give suggestive information on discrimination and racism.
