Key findings
The data is based on the complaints/requests the national equality body received in 2023. The national equality body opened 239 cases in 2023. Among the reported grounds for discrimination, real or perceived belonging or non-belonging to a "race" or ethnic group accounted for 59 cases (24%), disability for 49 cases (20%), sex for 33 cases (13%), sexual orientation for 11 cases (4%), age for 9 cases (4%), and religion or personal beliefs for 7 cases (3%).

Sample details and representativeness
In 2023, 239 new cases were referred to the CET. In addition, there were 2 non-closed cases from 2018, 3 non-closed cases from 2019 and 37 non-closed cases from 2020. For its statistics, the CET used the data of the person who contacted the CET. This is not necessarily the victim of the discrimination.
