Anti-Money-Laundering Authority / Greek Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU)

Law 4557/2018, which superseded Law 3691/2008 on the Anti-Money-Laundering, Counter-Terrorist-Financing and Source of Funds Investigation Authority and renamed the body the Anti-Money-Laundering Authority or Greek FIU.
The HDPA is a constitutionally established independent public authority that supervises the application of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation), Laws4624/2019,3471/2006and4579/2018(the last of which incorporated Directive (EU) 2016/681 on passenger name record data) and other regulations concerning the protection of the individual from the processing of their personal data.
Re-established as an independent authority by Part V ofLaw 4808/2021on the establishment of an independent labour inspection authority.
Decision No 67759/2022of the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs defined the date on which the inspectorate opened, as per the provisions of Article 85 ofLaw 4954/2022.
