The meeting will be attended by experts from Member States, the European Commission, as well as from international and national governmental organisations with an observer status. During the meeting, the situation of Roma in Europe and recent national and international policy developments will be discussed.
FRA will provide an update on the FRA-Member States Ad-hoc Working Party on Roma Integration Indicators. Its intervention will particularly focus on: the indicators framework reflecting the standards set by the Council Recommendation for effective Roma integration measures in the Member States from December 2013; FRA’s Local Engagement for Roma Inclusion (LERI) project; and the Agency’s plans for its second minorities and discrimination survey. FRA will also take part in the meeting of the Coalition of International Organisations on Roma Inclusion on 27 May. Between 28-29 May, FRA will take part in the meeting of the European Committee for Social Cohesion, Human Dignity and Equality of the Council of Europe, where the Agency will present its work on Roma, child rights and disability issues.
