FRA will join discussions at a conference from 18 to 19 June in Trier, organised by the Academy of European Law (ERA).
FRA will speak about innovative tools for better protection of rights and redress mechanisms, including its Clarity project (Complaints, Legal Assistance and Rights Information Tool for You), legal handbooks, and work on fundamental rights indicators as well as its forthcoming Fundamental Rights Survey. The conference, entitled ‘Protecting Fundamental Rights in the European Union’, will discuss recent developments in protecting fundamental rights in the EU, and the challenges legal practitioners face when dealing with fundamental rights issues. It also aims to present tools for the effective implementation of fundamental rights laws and policies.
The conference brings together judges, lawyers and their European networks, national and European civil servants, representatives of NGOs, equality bodies and NHRIs.
