The meetings regularly bring together nine EU agencies working in the area of freedoms, security and justice. These include:

  • the European Police College (CEPOL);
  • the European Asylum Support Office (EASO);
  • the European Gender Institute (EIGE); the EU’s drugs agency (EMCDDA);
  • the EU’s judicial cooperation agency (Eurojust);
  • the EU’s law enforcement agency (Europol);
  • the EU Borders Agency (Frontex);
  • the EU Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA);
  • eu-LISA, the EU agency responsible for operational management of large-scale IT systems in the area of freedom, security and justice.

Representatives from these agencies will come together to discuss mutual synergies of the agencies’ work and explore further avenues for cooperation. The meeting will focus on cooperation in the area of training, exchange of information and analytical tools, synergies in the area of ICT and cybersecurity, and cooperation on combatting terrorism, with a specific focus on foreign fighters.

In 2015, this network of agencies is being chaired by eu-LISA.
