On 14 January in Lisbon, FRA will give a presentation during an EU-funded event that will explore the implementation of the EU Victims’ Rights Directive.
The event draws together victim support stakeholders from around the EU to discuss the transposition of the Victims’ Rights Directive. The discussions will also cover how economical, historical and social backgrounds in Member States influence and shape this process. Best practices will also be explored. The event is part of the EU-funded IVOR project (Implementing a victim-oriented reform of the criminal justice system of the EU). The Portuguese Association for Victim Support (APAV) is coordinating the project in partnership with the International Victimology Institute Tilburg (INTERVICT), the University of Leuven and Victim Support Europe.
