On 28 and 29 April, FRA, together with the Dutch Presidency of the Council of EU, will host the fourth meeting of the Working Party on improving reporting and recording hate crime in Amsterdam.
Practitioners from all 28 EU Member States, members of the European Commission, the OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, and the Council of Europe’s Commission against Racism and Intolerance will meet to share their experience of tackling hate crime across the EU. At the event FRA will present its online compendium of practices on combatting hate crime that have been collected from Member States. FRA will also introduce a new report based on interviews with experts from law enforcement, criminal justice and civil society organisations. The report highlights challenges these practitioners face in their efforts to combat hate crime.
