Ensuring access to case materials

The Agency will open a workshop in Budapest on 8 June organised by the Hungarian Helsinki Committee on access to case materials.

The European Commission co-funded event will focus on law and practice related to access to case files in criminal cases in selected EU Member States. FRA will outline the EU standards and present FRA findings on how the Directive on the right to information in criminal proceedings is being implemented. The findings are also contained in its report on the rights of suspected and accused persons across the EU: translation, interpretation and information
