The Agency and the European Committee of the Regions’ Commission for citizenship, governance, institutional and external affairs (CIVEX) will hold their Annual Dialogue in Brussels on 6 July.
The focus will be on inclusion and participation of migrants and their descendants in society. FRA will present key findings from its report Together in the EU: Promoting the participation of migrants and their descendants. The report examines integration strategies across the EU. It shows how much discrimination, school segregation and restrictions to political participation create barriers to the integration of migrants in EU society. Other panelists will include representatives of the Flanders Region and civil society who will share their experiences. Since 2009 the Annual Dialogue has been taking place to discuss fundamental rights themes of relevance at regional and local level and share knowledge on existing promising practices.
