Editorial meeting helps shape FRA’s media toolkit

FRA event
Partner media organisations and experts will come to the Agency on 12 and 13 February to review and analyse news examples for FRA’s online media toolkit.

The content has been provided by outlets such as Le Monde, the Financial Times, France TV, the Guardian and the BBC. The news examples will form part of a practical tool for journalists, which will use training modules for self-learning, as well as face-to-face training in the newsroom to facilitate covering news from a fundamental rights angle. The Agency together with the European Broadcasting Union, the Ethical Journalism Network and the European Federation of Journalists are creating this toolkit by journalists for journalists. The close cooperation with journalists to develop the toolkit will ensure that the news examples, selected by the media partner organisations, illustrate the dilemmas facing today’s journalists about how to present facts and events by being aware of their impact on fundamental rights.
