On 1 October, the Agency will attend the Vienna meeting of the European Sustainable Development Network, under the Austrian EU Presidency.
The Network is an informal network of public administrators and other experts dealing with sustainable development strategies in Europe. The main topic will be stakeholder-policy cooperation in the age of the Sustainable Development Goals.
FRA’s presentation will focus on the fundamental rights dimensions of the SDGs in the EU. It will present examples of relevant data that could be used by the EU and its Member States when reporting on progress made, for example in regard to tackling violence against women, inequalities and discrimination affecting migrants and minorities.
In 2019, FRA’s annual fundamental rights report will include a special section dedicated to the specific SDG targets and indicators which will be also discussed at the Fundamental Rights Forum 2018.
