The High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) reviews the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). During the Ministerial meeting at the Forum, 47 countries will present their Voluntary National Reviews, including ten EU Member States.
The Agency, as part of the European Union delegation to the HLPF, will attend numerous thematic panel and roundtables, several side events and hold bilateral meetings with key stakeholders.
FRA’s contribution will focus on the human rights dimensions of the Sustainable Development Goals, and present examples of its relevant statistical data and other evidence, for example on violence against women, inequalities and discrimination affecting migrants and minorities, etc.
In 2019, FRA’s annual fundamental rights report will include a special section dedicated to the specific targets and indicators of SDG 10 (equality) and 16 (democratic institutions and rule of law) which will be discussed at the 2019 HLPF.
