FRA joins Austrian Presidency event on anti-Gypsyism

The FRA Director Michael O’Flaherty will send a video message to an expert conference on anti-Gypsyism and how it can be addressed in a post-2020 EU Roma Framework for national Roma integration strategies.

The event on 27 November in Vienna is being hosted by the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the EU. FRA will moderate a working group discussion and speak during the closing panel.

FRA’s research on local level participation and empowerment with Roma communities will be presented as a way to combat anti-Gypsyism, and FRA data on the situation of Roma from its 2018 anti-Gypsyism report will also be highlighted.
