Hungarian workshop on hate crime recording

On 6 and 7 December, the Agency together with the OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights will hold a workshop for law enforcement officers and officials responsible for (hate) crime registration in Hungary.

The aim of the workshop is to raise awareness of the need to properly record hate crimes, to identify gaps in existing hate crime recording and data collection frameworks, and to discuss practical steps to improve these frameworks to ensure comprehensive and sustainable hate crime recording system.

FRA has already conducted five of these workshops with more planned for other Member States in 2019.
