FRA will provide training on how to protect and promote child rights in the work of the European Parliament to parliament staff on 5 June in Brussels.

It follows a request from the Office of the European Parliament Coordinator for Children Rights, Anna Maria Corazza-Bildt.

The training will particularly look at children and justice. It will draw on FRA reports and tools available in the area of child rights, such as child poverty, children’s rights and justice – Minimum age requirements in the EU, child-friendly justice - Perspectives and experiences of children involved in judicial proceedings as victims, witnesses or parties in nine EU Member States.

The European Commission’s Child Rights Coordinator, Valeria Setti, will also take part in the session.

It will be an opportunity to discuss how the Parliament and the Commission can complement each other’s work in this area.
