Conference to focus on AI impact on human rights

The Finnish Presidency of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers and the Council of Europe are jointly organising a high-level conference on the impact of artificial intelligence development on human rights, democracy and the rule of law.

The agency’s Director, Michael O’Flaherty, will speak on a panel on the impact of AI-powered techniques on such human rights as privacy and freedom of expression.

The conference will bring together experts from governments, international organisations, businesses, technology, academia and research, civil society and the media. It takes place from 26 to 27 February in Helsinki.
