FRA has been invited to a hearing of the Equality and Non-Discrimination Committee of the Council of Europe’s Parliamentary Assembly.
The hearing will discuss a motion for a resolution on 'Ethnic profiling in Europe: a matter of high concern'.
FRA will put forward its recommendations from its 'Preventing unlawful profiling today and in the future' guide. Conditions and safeguards of profiling, non-efficiency of unlawful profiling and evolving prevention practices will be presented as well as risks arising from new technologies such as algorithmic profiling.
The hearing will take place in Paris on 12 September.
