FRA’s Director was invited by the Romanian Presidency of the European Council to present the key findings of the Fundamental Rights Report 2019 at the Council of the EU’s Working Party on Fundamental Rigths, Citizens’ Rights and Free Movement of Persons (FREMP).
The presentation will take place in Brussels on 24 June. At the meeting, the European Commission will present its Annual Report on the application of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.
In past years justice ministers have used the data and analysis of both reports in the Council Conclusions on the Application of the EU’s Fundamental Rights Charter.
These conclusions are usually adopted at the Justice and Home Affairs Council in October.
