Values, human dignity and democracy to feature during European trade union congress

The FRA Director Michael O’Flaherty will address the Congress of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) on its opening day in Vienna on 21 May.

He will give a keynote speech on European values, human dignity and democracy.

The ETUC was set up in 1973 and now comprises 90 national trade union confederations in 38 countries, plus 10 European trade union federations. The congress takes place every four years and is attended by delegates from national confederations and European trade union federations.

It will be run from 21 to 24 May.
