FRA Director, Michael O'Flaherty surrounded by young people online
On 23 February, the Fundamental Rights Agency’s Director, Michael O’Flaherty, listened to fundamental rights concerns and discussed ways to solve them. The second Fundamental Rights Dialogue invited young people to participate in shaping our societies, placing human rights centre stage.

The main discussion topics were:

  • How to make sure that everyone can enjoy fair and equal access to education, jobs and healthcare?
  • How to tackle hate speech, racism and disinformation, especially online?
  • How to reduce divisions and help everyone take part in society?

The Dialogue took place online on 23 February 2020, from 18:00 to 19:30 CET.

It was in French and English, with live interpretation and captioning.

The outcome of the Dialogue will feed into the discussion at the upcoming Fundamental Rights Forum on 11-12 October 2021 – a high-level event that brings together people who strive to ensure that everyone in the EU can enjoy their rights.

The first Fundamental Rights Dialogue took place on 13 November 2020.

The first dialogue event recording is available in English and German.
