FRA’s Director will deliver a keynote speech on 27 October in Dublin at a Council of Europe European Roundtable event.

The event will feed into the annual thematic review of Council of Europe’s Recommendation on measures to combat discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation or gender identity.

It brings together Member States, international NGOs, academics and other key stakeholders to share best practices and solutions to review and enrich the information collected by the Council of Europe.

It will also be an opportunity for further intergovernmental cooperation on combating LGBTI-hate crime.

The findings and conclusions of the event will be reflected in a report later this year.

The Council of Europe’s Committee on Anti-Discrimination, Diversity and Inclusion and its Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Unit organised the meeting.
