The overall aim of the course was to train participants on identifying hate crimes during daily police activities, ensuring that bias motives are spotted and considered in the process of investigations. The course also raised awareness of reasons why hate crime victims often do not report the most serious cases of violence, and also explored how police can build trust and encourage victims to report.
