Capacity-building workshop for migration hotspot staff

On 7 and 9 December, the Agency, in cooperation with the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), held a workshop on fundamental rights protection and site management for the staff of the Reception and Identification Centre in the migration hotspot on the Greek island of Kos.

The workshop aimed at increasing the capacity of the staff to perform their responsibilities and respond to the needs on the ground. An interactive and participatory approach was followed allowing participants to discuss the challenges in their work. The Agency focused on identifying vulnerable people and protecting children. The next workshop has been planned for 19-20 December in Leros.
