On 5 April, the Handbook on European Law relating to the rights of the child was presented during the Council of Europe’s child rights strategy conference in Sofia.
FRA, the European Court of Human Rights, the UNICEF Chair and Professor of Children’s Rights of Leiden University, and the former President of the European Committee of Social Rights also spoke during part of the conference devoted to the handbook. FRA presented the handbook’s perspectives on issues of protection of personal identity, the right to family and alternative care, protection from violence and exploitation, and migration and asylum. FRA also took the opportunity to introduce the publication of the German translation of the handbook. The handbook, published by FRA, in cooperation with the Council of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights, is now available in German, English and French.
