During the 12th plenary meeting of the Council of Europe’s Ad hoc Committee of Experts on Roma and Traveller Issues (CAHROM) the Agency contributed to a number of sessions.
The meeting took place from 15 to 18 November at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. On 15 November, it spoke during a session on EU and Council of Europe joint programmes and cooperation. It provided an update on its Structure-Process-Outcome indicators template for measuring progress in implementing national Roma integration strategies. It also covered developments and forthcoming outputs of the Agency’s Local Engagement for Roma Inclusion (LERI) project. The upcoming launch of the Roma summary results report from the EU minorities and discrimination survey at the end of November 2016 was also highlighted.
The Agency also joined several side events, including coordination meetings between international intergovernmental institutions and one organised by the European Commission. On 17 November, the Agency met with local fieldwork experts and stakeholders involved in the LERI project in Strasbourg, one of the project’s field sites. The project implementation and case study from Strasbourg were discussed in advance of the end of project conference in Vienna early December.
