European Parliament discussion looks at ethnic profiling

The European Parliament’s Anti-Racism Intergroup, the Open Society Justice Initiative and the European Network Against Racism hosted a round-table discussion on ethnic profiling: towards EU guidelines for fair and efficient policing.

The Agency spoke of the need to tackle discriminatory ethnic profiling practices in law enforcement across the EU which undermine trust with ethnic minority communities and hinder intelligence based police work that respects fundamental rights. The discussion took place in Brussels on 6 December.
