The Agency presented findings from its Roma survey and case study examples from Roma women’s groups as part of its Local Engagement for Roma Inclusion (LERI) project. The event brought together key stakeholders working in the area of Roma inclusion and on Roma women’s participation, including former and current members of the European Parliament, representatives of the European Commission, European Economic and Social Committee, Council of Europe, and other key civil society organisations. Ideas on how to improve the participation of Roma women in public life and exchange of good practices to feed into the work of the EESC’s permanent study group on Roma inclusion were also discussed.
