Right to interpretation and translation discussed during legal translators general assembly

On 8-9 April, FRA presented preliminary findings from its comparative research on specific criminal procedural rights of suspects and the accused across EU Member States.

FRA has been particularly looking at the right to interpretation and translation. The presentation was given at the Annual General Assembly conference of the European Legal Interpreters and Translators Association in Strasbourg. Feedback on the preliminary findings were received from various national associations representing legal interpreters and translators in different EU Member States.
