The seminar focused on how law enforcement and victim support services can interact and cooperate to provide essential help to victims of crime at the earliest possible stage. It also looked at how cooperation can help build victims’ trust and encourage reporting by way of examples of practical promising practices. Senior police officers from EU Member States took part, which also included speakers from the European Gender Institute and the Portuguese Victim support organisation, APAV.
