Seminar focuses on innovation in promoting victims’ rights

FRA gave an opening lecture at a seminar in Oporto on 7 April that focused on promising practices related to the rights of and support to victims of crime.

The EU-funded event was organised by INFOVICT – a consortium of European victim support organisations. The event brought together victim support professionals from 7-8 EU Member States and over 100 participants from Portugal. The seminar was an opportunity to learn about existing practices on such issues as individual needs assessments for vulnerable victims; cross-border information to victims and cooperation between services; print and online innovative tools for awareness and support; and concrete ways of supporting victims.
