During her intervention, she highlighted its support to the EU co-legislators with respect to the provision of fundamental rights expertise, noting recent FRA Legal Opinions. She also mentioned the need for fundamental rights impact assessments in the field of asylum, child rights in the context of asylum as well as FRA’s work in the migration hotspots.

The event was attended by several hundred participants and benefitted from the presence the Presidents of the European Parliament and European Commission, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and the Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship - among others.
