Exchanging views on religious discrimination and freedom of religion

Professor Ingeborg Gabriel, Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office on Combating Racism, Xenophobia and Discrimination, also focusing on Intolerance and Discrimination against Christians and Members of Other Religions, visited the Agency on 1 February.

She met with FRA Director, Michael O’Flaherty, and exchanged views on the current fundamental rights situation in Europe with a particular focus on aspects of religious discrimination and challenges to the right to freedom of religion. The Director invited the Personal Representative to cooperate with the Agency in engaging with faith communities.
