It stressed how better coordinated, and rights-based integration policies promoting full societal, economic, cultural and political participation of migrant and their descendants can support the future of the EU as a Union oriented towards inclusive growth. This is possible by investing on the full potential of migrants without discrimination, combating intolerance and promoting living together in diversity fostering social cohesion and building trust between communities. Such migration and integration policies can support efficient respones to current and coming demographic, and economic/technological challenges, such as the adoption of the EU pillar of Social Rights.

The Agency joined a Joint Research Council expert workshop in Brussels on 12 June on the future of migration, integration and diversity in Europe.
