FRA presents survey methodologies at Linz University

The Austrian platform for surveys, methods and empirical analysis (PUMA) learnt about the methodologies employed in the Agency’s surveys for reaching special populations, especially ethnic minorities and immigrants.

Based on FRA’s extensive experiences gathered in its second European Union Minorities and Discrimination Survey, FRA provided an overview of sampling methods for populations which are difficult to reach with traditional survey methods. The presentation was given on 13 October at the University of Linz during a symposium to exchange experiences and expertise on survey methodology with respect to sampling methods. Participants discussed ways of assessing the quality of surveys which nowadays have to use a variety of methods.
