Rights protection and promotion discussed at Frontex Consultative Forum

The 15 organisations of the Frontex Consultative Forum - including the Agency - met in Warsaw from 1 to 2 February to discuss its 2016 Annual Report, which will be published in March 2017.

The forum also discussed with Frontex operational matters and setting up fundamental rights safeguards in relation to an individual complaints mechanism, return monitoring, and child protection and rights in Frontex activities. The forum provides independent advice to the Frontex Management Board and Executive Director on the protection and promotion of fundamental rights.
