The Agency joined data protection authorities from across the EU in Limassol from 27 to 28 April for their annual Spring Conference as they prepare for the application of the EU’s revised data protection rules.
At the event the Agency gave a presentation on the handbook on data protection law that it is currently updating, asking for support in peer reviewing the draft.
It also took part in a panel debate on law enforcement access to data that looked at large-scale systems, interoperability and transborder data flows. Here it presented the main points from its forthcoming paper on interoperability of databases in the areas of borders and security.
