The Agency attended the first 2018 meeting of the network of EU Justice and Home Affairs (JHA) Agencies from 1 to 2 March in Vilnius.
Network representatives from nine agencies and the Commission came together to discuss this year’s priorities for joint action in the areas of freedom, security and justice, with the aim of delivering cross-agency advice and support to EU institutions and Member States. Discussions centred on the agencies’ planned joint activities on: implementing migration, asylum and border management and internal security; training and external relations.
This was the first meeting under the 2018 Chair of the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE). EIGE took over from EMCDDA as Chair, and will chair the network until 31 December, before handing over to Europol who chairs in 2019.
