The Agency provided fundamental rights input to two panels at the annual conference of the Odysseus Academic Network.
The conference was held in Brussels on 1 February and attracted nearly 300 participants. The aim of the conference was to discuss complex legal and policy issues in EU migration and asylum law, in light of new developments and challenges in 2017. High-level experts and policy makers from academia, EU institutions and agencies, international organisations, EU Member States and NGO representatives attended the event.
The Agency’s contributions looked at possible legal entry channels to the EU for people who need international protection as well as the practical hindrances of exercising the fundamental right to leave any country in light of current EU Member States’ practices.
